About Megan Myers, LMFT-S
Who I Am
Hi, i’m Megan, and I help people reconnect- whether that’s with your partner, your purpose, your people, or yourself.
I’m not the kind of therapist who stares at you and nods for an hour. I’m a real person, just like you—with a sense of humor, a healthy dose of empathy, and a deep respect for how hard life can get sometimes.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), I’m a therapist who’s specifically trained to help you untangle complex emotional knots in your relationships, trauma, and all the nuanced ways disconnection shows up in our lives.
Who I Help
Based just north of Houston, Texas, I provide virtual therapy for clients across Texas, including:
- Military and Veterans
- Couples
- Individuals
Most of my work has been with military veterans and couples—two groups of people who often carry a lot, sometimes silently. For many, it’s hard to name- but it’s heavy.
I’ve been doing this work for over a decade, and in that time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside a lot of people as they navigate some of the most difficult and meaningful parts of their lives.
My Approach to Therapy
My style is direct—I’m a big believer in telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.
That doesn’t mean I’m harsh or unkind—just honest, and always have your back. I try to skip the cheesy therapist jargon and just have real, straightforward conversations that help you:
- understand yourself more clearly
- make sense of what’s going on
- move toward the life and relationships you want
If you’re not into surface-level chit-chat and want someone who’ll be real with you—someone who’ll challenge you, support you, and actually help you move forward—we might be a good fit.
You don’t need to have it all figured out—that’s what I’m here for. My job is to work myself out of a job by helping you build the insight and tools to handle life on your own. All you need is the willingness to dig in and do the work
